Blood Test

Our phlebotomist and Healthcare Assistants can take bloods once the test has been requested by a clinician. Please make sure you have spoken with a clinical member of the staff before you attend an appointment for a blood test when this is not a routine one.

You don't need to speak with a clinician if you are having bloods for annual reviews, medication monitoring, Health Checks or requested by the hospital. If the bloods have been requested by other consultant, please make sure you bring the card or paperwork with you.

Our bloods collection is at 10:00 in the morning and 16:30 in the afternoon. Please bear in mind that bloods taken after 16:30 will be left overnight and results might go wrong.

If you would like to have your bloods taken at other premises, please request your form via reception. Children under 7 years old need to go to the hospital. Please click here for more information. You need to book an appointment before attending.

Results will be ready after seven working days. Please register for online access to see them. We don't contact patients were results are normal or don't require further action.
